I often think about connection. What’s that magical, electrical spark that we sometimes call chemistry or even love when we bump into someone that just feels so familiar. And are those instances reserved for only a couple of people or is that phenomena for everybody to enjoy?
What is it?
I had the urge to go out with my camera, and lose myself in the country side of Western Pennsylvania, and I can’t really explain the feeling I had. But it was this dreamy state where I was open and in a receptive state to find something I wanted to feel surrounded by people.
Connection
How I would describe connection is, “a sense of trust and awareness of the other in a mere instant.” A moment in time that freezes. Everything that was doesn’t matter and everything that will doesn’t exist. The connection is so strong that the only thing you can withhold id for your heart to beat, jumping, throbbing in joy as it recognizes another piece of its own right in front.
It’s not about luck. It’s about bravery. In order to encounter these souls you have to be brave enough to be yourself, and not the pile of things we become throughout the years. Brave to feel with no promise of anything but to feel, and to be aware.
In life, nothing is ever promised but death.
All that happens in between is an act of courage and integrity towards yourself.
Be it, and you’ll encounter magic, or as many would say: Heaven.
